ABOUT REBECCA MORASSUTTI

I WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT.

In fact, I never imagined I’d be living my dream life in a van (by choice!), making 6 figures a year, and traveling all over Canada, the USA and Mexico. Growing up in rural Canada, my career trajectory has been more than a local anomaly.

Ten years later, I’ve built a 6-figure business without Instagram.

Now I’m helping you do the same - and revolutionizing the VA industry along the way.

I KNEW I WAS DIFFERENT, SO I DID SOMETHING DIFFERENT

I KNEW I WAS DIFFERENT, SO I DID SOMETHING DIFFERENT //

My LIFE STORY in two columns

After graduating, I got a (terrible) job working as an intern for a marketing company sorting and preserving their media files. (This was seriously the worst job ever.) But after a lot of hard work and expressing a desire to learn, I moved up the ladder.

In just 4 years, I became a Director of Marketing.

But I was also burning out, not fully fulfilled in my work, and knew I wanted something more.

I started searching the depths of YouTube and blogs for ways to make money online. Eventually, I fell down a “van life” rabbit hole. I quickly realized that THIS is what I wanted to do – to travel through North America in a van with my dog and my partner, the ultimate dream was to go to Mexico. (Side note: I have never had a desire to live in a van “down by the river.” Never even been by a river in my van! 😂)

I suddenly wanted a life that a traditional job couldn’t offer. I mean, living in a van didn’t really fit into my corporate lifestyle!

So I went back to YouTube again, looking for an answer.

As I continued to investigate, I came across virtual assistance. At first, I was really turned off by the thought of being an assistant. I thought I was way overqualified... Why would I go from being a Director of Marketing to an assistant? I wasn’t an assistant.

But in my desperation to find something different, I decided to give the whole virtual assistant thing a try. I didn’t care anymore about the title or how much (or little) money I would make: I just wanted to make enough to pay my bills, quit my job, travel, and work on the road.

Ten years later, I’ve levelled up my skills to become an online business manager and, later, a business growth strategist. I’ve worked with many different clients in many different industries and built a 6-figure income as a highly-skilled VA.

Now, I’m on a mission to help other women build and grow their own virtual assisting businesses and have helped over 200 women get started.

In 2018, I stepped up my game

I leveled up and became an Online Business Manager. I started interviewing, hiring, and training virtual assistants from all around the world. A year later, I let some clients go that were not my ideal match and started working with people who had the same vibe as I did.

Success DOES NOT HAPPEN overnight.

Let’s start in 2014

I worked as a Director of Marketing. I decided to start my own business as a Virtual Assistant. I quit my full-time job and bought a van. A year later, I hit my first 6-figure year in my VA business. I continued to build my business, working with 8 long-term clients.

By 2020, I wanted to help others.

I became a Business Growth Strategist and started mentoring Virtual Assistants. I developed my Virtual Assistant business course, the 21-Day VA, and created a 1:1 accelerator for VA’s who want to get their business running NOW. I help women build their own client-first VA businesses and live a life of their own design.

Can’t live without: At least 50 beach days a year, candles from the Harlem Candle Company, van camping adventures, heated blankets and summer nights under the stars.

Most days, you can find me: Sitting at my desk, listening to LoFi, and chatting with my clients, colleagues, and friends all day

Current Hobby: Building an off-grid luxury eco-resort with my partner. You have an exclusive invite. ;) And visiting as many spas as possible for “research” purposes.

Listening: I’ve got a lot going on in my earbuds.

Podcasts: Hidden Brain, Stuff You Should Know, Canadian True Crime, The Daily, Unexplainable
